Kavach requires no account or sign-in. Your charm settings are saved on your phone. We use basic product analytics to understand which features people use.

What we collect

What we do not collect

Why we process it

Analytics and sharing

The iOS app uses PostHog, hosted in the United States, to process basic usage events: app opens, onboarding, charm choices, swings and counts, widget setup and widget opens. Events include a randomly generated installation identifier and technical information such as app version, operating system and device model. Our analytics provider receives your IP address as part of network communication and retains it with events. Automatic app lifecycle events may also include approximate location inferred from that IP address, such as city, region and country. The app does not request GPS or device location access. Ordinary usage events do not include names, email addresses or text you enter. If you use Send feedback, we send your message, feedback category and any optional contact email to PostHog, with app/device details and the installation identifier. We use these to improve Kavach and, if you leave an email, follow up. This feedback can be associated with usage events from that installation. Session recording is disabled. This helps us understand setup difficulties and improve the app. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

This website

getkavach.app is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes network information such as IP addresses and request details to deliver and secure the website. This website does not load PostHog, advertising scripts or session recording.

Where we store data

Your charm and swing history are stored locally. Your device's backup settings may include this data in a backup managed by Apple or Google. If you email us, your message is handled by the email services used to send and receive it.

Data deletion and retention

Open Kavach, tap the settings icon and choose Delete my data. Because your charm and swing history are stored locally, this clears the data Kavach stores on the device. Device backups are managed through your Apple or Google backup settings. Clearing local data does not delete previously transmitted analytics. To request deletion of analytics or support correspondence, email hello@valtrium.co.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data. You can clear your local app data in Settings. For questions about information you have sent us by email, contact hello@valtrium.co.

Security

Local app data is protected by your phone's security settings. Avoid including sensitive information in support emails unless it is needed to explain your request.

Children

Kavach does not ask children to provide personal information in the app. A parent or guardian can contact us with questions about information sent to us by email.

Changes
